That is gorgeous! Someday I hope one of my plants will bloom too. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I'm pretty sure I should probably be growing them differently.
One thing about epicacti, they will flower for you. In general, they don't like to stay dry for long periods of time, a rule we violate most of the time through the Winter. We can't even get to the plants to water them most of the time. As a result our epis tend to get a bit ragged, but they do flower. (We help them out with a little 0-10-10 fertilizer in early Spring.)And since you're in Portland, we'd love to have you join up with the Oregon Cactus & Succulent Society :)
